i wiggled and input 1 was loose in two spots. got them to stick. juiced it up and nothing.

You need to prove that the input signal is coming out of the jack.
With your meter set to read ohms, insert a guitar cable into Input 1.
At this point you should measure continuity from the tip of the cable to TP 9 (R2 68K).
You do not even have to power up the amp for this test.Attached Files

OK, So I realize this thread is aging. Ive fixed the problem somewhat. by resoldering some iffy areas/traces. I get a crystal clear sound in channel 1. once I click over to channel 2 I get a loud buzzing noise. I hear the guitar though. Oh and also the volume control does nothing.
