  • Wall Voltage AC

I'm getting 119 VAC right now and was at about 122 a few months ago. Do you guys get different AC at seasonal periods ? Just wondering where you're AC is at this moment.

    Big time!
Especially in summer when everyone has air conditioners on.
Our power grids need updating bad.

Am at 117 now which is probably the lowest I've ever seen it here in years.

        Heck yeah!!
Got so bad in my old town shop outside Arvada, Colo, I started running my bench off an variac 100% of the time.
It would go from 114v to as high as 126v some days. Crazy... had the power company out a couple times and they said they don't really guarantee any specific line voltage. Huh?
Here, it is much better and runs 122v-126v in the wee (tiny) hours of the morning when there must be no loads on the distribution.

Next time the Super Bowl is in progress, watch your mains voltage during commercials. Whenever there is a break, everyone runs to the bathroom, water pumps go on. Then folks open the refrigerator for more snacks and those kick on. Voltage sags.

I'll check again early this AM and see where it's at but it was very consistent yesterday at around 118 all day. Just used to seeing 122 to 126 all the time but we did have a blackout Friday for about 15 minutes.
