Hey guys, someone gave me a Crate BT50 because it wasn't working, replaced the output transistors (TDA 2050) and the filter caps. Amp works now and plays and sounds good BUT when you fisrt turn it on, it produces a " cow mooing " for about one second, it then goes away and its fine for hours and doesn't come back. It only does this when you first turn it on. I connected a different speaker to it and it doesn't happen... nor does it happen if you run a cab through the external speaker jack. After it does this the speaker seems to sound fine, when played through it......does this sound like the speaker is on its way out ? Any ideas ?
