  • SVT Primary Impedance?

Can anyone tell me the primary Z for an SVT OT?

I've looked for it on-line and can't find the answer.

I suppose I could go out and measure one, but I'm hoping that someone knows the answer so that doing this won't be necessary.

    TIA.

The original SVT output transformer #8950004 had a primary Z of 1850 ohms with 2 and 4 ohm secondaries.

Is that the 6550 version or the 6146?

There is a post around here somewhere (old) where Enzo posted the transformer specs for both the 6146 version and the 6550 version. I was looking at it last night. I just looked for it again, to try to link it up for you, but I cant' find it now.

IME the search function on this site is really unreliable. I'll search for threads that I know exist, using key words that I know are in the thread, and the search engine won't find them. but if I'm searching for something totally unrelated, sometimes they'll pop up. I don't know why, but the search feature on this forum is really, really unreliable.

couldn't find it using the board's search feature, but was able to find it using google:

AFAIK the OT spec never changed.

Bruce, the 6146 and 6550 versions used the same transformer. it is specified on both schematics.
