  • Marshall valvestate 8200 bi chorus problem!

I don't know if anyone can steer me in the right direction? on what to test or look for? I just bought this amp it needs some cleaning and I was gonna use dexoit on the scratchy pots! It works! but I'm not getting anything out of the left speaker output? and I wanted to use this amp for my clean channel and run quadraverb thru stereo effects loop! and use a A/B box to switch from my Randall rm100 (dirty channel) I use to have a Bi chours 8200 years ago and they have great stereo clean tone! Thanks!

Not exactly an easy amp to repair.(

My first guess is that the one amplifier section is blown.

    Just a guess.

Here is a link to a repair blog. The Repair Bench: Marshall Valvestate 8200 Amplifier Head

My best suggestion would be to take it to a tech.

      Deoxit is wonderful stuff.

I see in some literature that amp has a full complement of mono/stereo/send/return jacks on the back.

      Clean those jacks.

Sometimes I spray a little deoxit on a guitar cord end or a q-tip and wipe it on the guitar cord end and push it it in and out of the jack.
