That's bizarre. Did you measure those voltages right on the relay pins? K1 and K2 coils are in parallel. If K2 switches then K1 should switch but you don't even hear it click. If the voltages are correct on the actual pins (same voltage as K2), which you have verified, then K1 must be bad.
I know you replaced it but there is still that tiny chance the new one is bad. I would swap K1 and K2 and triple check those voltages at the K1 coil comparing against K2 coil.Originally posted by EnzoI have a sign in my shop that says, "Never think up reasons not to check something."

ok-- i swapped the 2 relays.
BUT--when i pulled k1 out i broke a leg. I had another relay sitting here to use--BUT , dont know if its good or not --it is installed as k2 .
So, some things changed-
K1 now audibly cliks, K2 does not
the clean ch volume is now correct--operates on clean ch. only.
On the dirty channel (ch.2) , now the Master volume does nothing at all. The drive level now works, increases gain, but it is also the volume of the channel!
the more drive switch works properly.
the LED now seems proper ?? blank on clean , yellow on drive , red on More drive

Forgot to ask, any chance that pin that broke from K1 was already broke before you removed it? That would explain how you could have measured proper voltage at the pin yet the relay wouldn't switch.Originally posted by EnzoI have a sign in my shop that says, "Never think up reasons not to check something."
