  • sunn concert lead trips circuit breaker

Recently acquired a 1972 Sunn concert lead. When switched on, it
immediately buzzes and trips circuit breaker. Looking inside , nothing inside burnt,
or leaking caps... cement resistors look ok as well as transistors actually looks really clean... I'm not really familiar
with this older solid state... I found schematic...It's not like I can
pull tubes and and start with basic voltages . Should I just work off schem and start by checking the trans former and then values
    Thanks

What if it were a tube amp? What would you do? I'd check for shorted output devices (tubes), shorted rectifiers. bad filter caps.

In a solid state amp I'd look for shorted output transistors, shorted rectifiers, bad filter caps.
Education is what you're left with after you have forgotten what you have learned.

Thanks Enzo ....your right as always...due diligence...pulled every output transistor and
there it was...there are no shortcuts...thanks again
