  • bugera 333xl-212 buzz and speaker connection

hey guys, i have a weird issue with my 333xl-212. i bought a week ago 2 celestion v30s 16 Ohm and connected them in parallel, put the impedance selector at 8 Ohm and fired up the amp, although it sounded as it sound be and much better from stock speakers i had a small buzz in the clean channel noticeable only when not playing, its not affected by volume change and its still there when i pull the cable from the input, plus it gets too hot even at the front where master volume is mostly ( really how hot it should be? ) stock speakers were wired in series ( 16 ohm) and was dead quiet, and if i remember correctly the amp didn't get that hot. also didn't had the time to check with stock speakers again but will do tomorrow maybe, any ideas?

Hard to imagine the speakers causing issues.

For grins & giggles try the new speakers in the 16 ohm tap.

See if the noise goes away.

The heat may be the 5 volt regulator, front left of chassis.

You mean just flip the tap switch, with the speakers in parallel (8ohm), to 16ohm?
      Thanks

Setting the selector to 16 ohm is a test to see if the buzz goes away.
I am not asking you to keep it on that setting.
        Simply a test.

Problem solved. The connection cable was defective, I made a new one and the buzz is gone and amp is running on normal temps now.. Thanks for info and help though.
