carvin x100b reoccuring issue... heat related?

    what if the cab wiring were somehow screwed up? could a constant or fluctuating impedance mismatch cause tubes to get that hot?
    i can open up the cab next time i'm near it to check wiring and impedance, but otherwise not sure how to proceed... suggestions?

      Have you checked bias for each tube? Do you have a bias probe? That is where I would start. You seemingly have a current issue, so let's find out what the idle current actually is for each tube.

        I forgot what is needing fixing

        If the 5 watt screen resistors are getting too hot, then either the bias is too hot (see The Dude's post above) or you have a bad tube.
        Really, the only time they should get 'hot' is when you are pushing the amp hard.
