  • Old Console Maggie Stereo Amp

I stripped the 10 or so watt per side stereo amp out of a Magnavox console some time back and have used as a guitar amp for about 6 months now. All has been well but recently I've noticed a sort of sound like water running through a faucet or pipe when the valve is not turned completely off. Very low volume and the amp still performs well. Is this some sort of sonic oscillation problem developing? No cap replacement done on this yet...

Be sure to always verify it's not a tube fault before suspecting any other components.
