Let it sit there running with the bulb for a little while, no signal, just ON. Feel the 7293s with a finger every so often to see if any are getting warm. If any one is heating up, no point in going full power.

well , i slowly fired it up and the chips never got warm. Then played through it quietly while checking, then played through it LOUD for a while .........none of the chips got hot !
I think its fixed for now.....time to get rid of it , huh?......

HA--the clean channel actually sounds VERY good , however the OD sounds are atrocious.
Good bye Mode 4, i will never allow another one in the house again........
