      Oh Boy!
      Tonight was plumbing night.
      We have alot of calcium in our water, had to replace the trap in the bathroom that was leaking.
      Of course when you go to take it apart to check, everything cracks and falls apart.

      Then there's the fine balance of tightening the joints enough so they don't leak but not too much where they break.

      What do you guys use on plated brass? Teflon tape or compound?

      Guess I'll check out some plumbing forums!

        I use a Rubbermaid bucket placed under the trap. takes care of the leak...
        Education is what you're left with after you have forgotten what you have learned.
