Since most of the new machinery, refinements and just general progress and focus has gone into radial caps I have found the best options there. Axial caps are only made to support a small market and IMHO they aren't given much consideration. You're lucky to find basically serviceable caps in axial format anymore. I changed to radials because I could. I build custom so it's not a problem. I'm not cloning anything and I'm not doing vintage restorations.
