Fender pa 100 bent chassis

I've had to do this before. I had to remove the necessary parts, set the chassis on something flat, get out a BFH, and start whacking............carefully, of course."I took a photo of my ohm meter... It didn't help." Enzo 8/20/22

Yep, either major dis-assembly or apply the opposite force as what bent it. If it was the weight of the transformer that bent it, you would have to apply the same kind of force to the other side of the transformer, or find a way to pull up on it.Originally posted by EnzoI have a sign in my shop that says, "Never think up reasons not to check something."

Some of the bent chassis I get in need shaped wooden blocks and a hydraulic press to straighten them. My own preference is not to hit them, but that's only because I have a custom setup for this kind of thing. When the metal is bent it slightly work-hardens and stretches, and requires more force (and opposite travel) to get it straight than the original force that bent it in the first place.
