  • Aesis RA150 shuts down after a few minutes (Re-Visited?)

I've read the post dated 2010 on the relay shutting down in the RA150 Alesis amp. This may be what I'm going to find but first I have to address two obvious problems. I found a spade connector loose on the PS board. On the same board are two fried resistors R401 and R402. They are beyond reading with R402 the worst shape of the two. Can anyone tell what the values are for these? This amp only shuts down on one channel after it warms up. The two resistors are badly burned and cracked

    470 ohm 2w.

They are dropping resistors from the main power rails down to the 15v zener rails. So I guess they will be dissipating a whole watt or so. They will get hot. You could mount a couple 5w in their place, might spread the heat. Z1 and Z2 ought to have 15v across each.
