  • HH IC100

I'm sitting here with an old Solid State favorite - an HH IC100 closed back 2x12 combo (remember Marc Bolan and the T-Rex?). I've taken out the amp chassis (looks very neat inside), cleaned the pots and the switches and got everything going A-OK.

Then when I was about to take a look at the speakers...I don't know how to get inside the cab...It's sealed, covered with tolex without any visible screws at the back or side panels. When I remove the grille, the only visible screws are the ones holding the speakers to the baffle board. ..So, I figure I have to lift the speakers out from the front...There better be long cables inside...

There are supposed to be a pair of early '70s Celestion G12 H (55) in there. Should be pretty desirable by now, so I obviously don't want to mess up.

    -Any advice?

Just pull them out slowly and carefully.
Post some picture of the speakers.

Thanks, I was able to pull out a speaker . The speaker connections are soldered, the cables are quite short and the speaker is heavy...

      It's a Celestion T2 320 - a G12H 30 with a 2,5" voice coil, if I got it right.
