  • Place to buy a DSL100 board

Is there a place where i could buy an old Marshall dsl100 main board? (2001)

  • #2
Maybe Marshall has some but youīll have to order through a Shop which carries that brand, they donīt sell direct to customers.

Plan B: I have the vague idea that *somebody* was offering empty cloned PCBs.
If so, it still remains the herculean task of building it.
    Itīs a minefield.

Plan C: **if** absolutely impossible, strip it to the bone, leaving only chassis, iron and sockets . get some Ceriatone or equivalent aftermarket board.
I very much doubt a DSL type is available, certainly there are for Classic models, such as Plexi or JCM800.
Your amp will have less "features" , "modes" , etc. but it will probably have "just" 1 or 2 KILLER sounds.

Please post what you find and eventually do

What's wrong with your original board? Whilst there are circuit changes on the later revisions, the old boards can be improved and once fixed don't seem to give further problems. Don't forget to attend to the bias board, too - these play up no end.

Edit; just seen your other post. Have you eliminated every other fault possibility?

No but it works fine now.
I have been able to set the bias correctly.

I don't want to rebuild the amp it is ok as it is. I just saw when replacing the bridge rectifier that some caps have been change and soldered on the back of the board.
I thing there is few mods here and there? I will check later.
One track has been damaged by the heat of the iron. It still works but and because i love this amp i was ready to buy another board for the future.
        That's all.

Perhaps finally i will buy a second one.

Where do you live? Postal charges are a consideration due to 'volumetric weight' calculations for international shipping that penalizes lightweight but relatively bulky items.
