  • Shielding an amp for interference.

Can I get a piece of aluminum, like a piece of outdoor siding, and make a cap to cover the chassis before I install it into a cab? Would this work at all to reject and or contain noise and hum?

My experience says it's not likely to make a substantial difference for typical lower frequency hum, but will help to keep out higher frequency noise i.e. dimmers, rf, etc.
