  • Vox AC30 cap replacement

I'm trying to find a replacement for 60+100uF capacitor used in Vox AC30 (most probably 1978 version). Someone added 220uF in parallel but the additional capacitor also failed. I cannot find Xov AC30 schematic with 60+100uF capacitor. Shouldn't it be 32+32uF?

Given that tolerances on lytics was frequently -20/+80%, I wouldn't sweat it too much! Is it being used as two separate sections? I bet 100/100 or 50/50 or thereabouts would work fine. Just match or exceed the voltage rating. Just make sure the basing fits.

    Normally I'd post links, but I see you're in Poland. But JJ & F&T both make 32/32, 50/50, & 100/100.

Thanks. On the schematic the capacitor is marked as 100+64uF/450V. I will try 100+100uF F&T.
