Yes you can connect the tip to the shield to turn on the trem or just use a clip lead on the inside of the chassis.

Thanks Pete. I was a little unclear on that. I did the tremolo mod on this one ,so I can switch it completely out of the circuit. Suppose to be a significant difference in signal gain ,but I can't hear that much.

Unless I screwed something up (which has been know to happen often) I can't tell that big of a difference

Hi Bill. I connected it by the diagram attached.

All is well. The Twin seems to work well after a few bugs were removed. The Silverface is now a Blackface with exception of the Trem mod. Just need to get it all back in the cabinet ,and test it one last time before I return it to my friend. Thanks for all the help !
