  • Peavey KB300 pots

Hi I have a KB300 with some broken pots. these are Stereo 50k pot with one shaft, But you can turn either 50k mono pot seperatly
Ive checked ebay and all the uk suppliers, does anyone know a source for these parts

I spoke to customer. He don't want me to mount one of the stereo pots on the back chassis, I think he's going to be out of luck

    Have you tried contacting Peavey?

He's like a new set of strings... he just needs to be stretched a bit.

Just a note, that is not one shaft, that is two shafts and it is called concentric shafts. One shaft would mean a single shaft turns both sections together. That might help your search - dual 50k concentric shaft.

And PV may no longer have them, but some shop might. I just looked, and I no longer have them, but there are a lot of shops. You might do better to ask for:

Peavey part number 71190556, 50kBx2 concentric shaft pot for KB300 1989 version.

See if anyone has one in their shop stock.
Education is what you're left with after you have forgotten what you have learned.

50k concentric pots should not be difficult to find. One that will accept your knobs might be a bit more difficult to find. You might have to modify your knobs and use 5 minute epoxy.

In the past, I have robbed the Channel X Reverb pot, installed a normal pot for the High Eq function & set the Reverb circuit at half way with resistors.

            Clunky, but it works.

Don't worry about those side brackets either. Good luck. Sometimes old pots are a real pain to match up.

I didn't even try them as i can see that the shafts are much too big. They did stick out a bit. I used some extra washers to pack out the inside of the chassis, so it only stuck out the min. Customer has happy just to get them work
