I found an output transformer in my "junk box". There are no markings on the transformer. It is in good condition and never been soldered up. I know this is probably a stupid question but is there a way that I can identify what the OT can be used for? Thanks!

How to ID an output transformer

Start by posting 3 pictures , 1 from each side where wires exit and a third perpendicular, showing the stack thickness.
Then draw a rectangle with wires leaving it, number each wire and label them by colours.
Also post core dimensions.
Standard transformers are made out of thin EI shaped laminations placed so as to form a rectangle with 2 windows.
Post that rectangle size.
Those laminations are stacked to a certain thickness, measure and post that too.
After you clearly identify wires, we´ll ask for some resistance measurements and later some voltages.Juan Manuel Fahey
