  • deluxe reverb noise problem?

Hey guys i have a deluxe reverb that is giving me an annoying problem. I use pedals in front of the amp but when i do i get a lot of RF interference. Any suggestion on what's causing this and any soluions for fixing the problem?

    Both channels do it?

On the off chance that it may be one of the pedals, can you try to narrow it down to which pedal may be passing the interference.
Plug them in one at a time.
Wah pedals are known for this. I've heard them pickup truckers CB's.

Check that all your interconnect cables are properly shielded. There's also the possibility that a sleeve connection is bad on one of the jacks.

You may very well have a normally closed contact jack that no longer is. (NC)

What exactly is meant here by RF interference? eg radio stations breaking through?
Or is the issue hum type interference?

I had two of these on a Twin. Had to replace them.

Or you're using a speaker cable, not shielded cable, for one or more of them. That'll hum & buzz a LOT.
This isn't the future I signed up for.
