Hello everybody, I could use some help.
I am trying to repair a solid state combo bass amp, which has a grounding noise, even without anything connected on it.
The noise is affected by the volume and the eq if you fiddle with the knobs.
I noticed that there is no continuity between the chassis and the sleeves of the jacks (which should be grounded).
Apart from that, I measure about 20 VDC between the sleeves and the chassis.
Does this mean that there is a voltage leakage somewhere?
And if so, which is the proper way to find what causes it?
Everything looks fine with bare eye.
Any suggestion would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
