Got a nice clean Acoustic 125 in for a recap and a new footswitch. The thing looks completely original and works pretty good but one thing sticks out that is kind of a mystery to me... you see, there's this modification around the footswitch board that is kind of strange.
What seems to be done here is that the signal input to the preamp input jack (purple wire) has been removed and tied directly to the amplifier input jack bypassing the preamp input jack and then the preamp input jack signal is jumpered over to the footswitch circuitboard attached to the switch pin for the master volume footswitch control. Maybe someone decided to use the preamp input jack as an impromptu footswitch connection for the master volume control. Could that be what this is all about?
