Hi All,
Can anyone put their finger on specifically the layout file for the power section of a GK 800RB bass head? I can find and already have the schematics for several versions of the amp, but the PDF of the service manual that is floating around the web seems to be incomplete -- there is no layout for the power section, only the preamp. There might once have been something here, but if so it got nuked whenever it was that a lot of attachments got erased from the database.
If anybody has some advice that might save me a minute or two, I'm all ears as well. The story so far is that one of the lower voltage (15V) power supply rails was bad, and this was evidently causing U1 to pull the outputs of both the 300W and 100W sections to a low negative voltage -- I think I was measuring -47 and -42 volts DC respectively on the outputs. Anyway, I fixed that supply rail, and now I'm getting only a couple of mV on the output for the 100W amp. Unfortunately, there still seems to be about -2.5VDC appearing on the output of the 300W amp. Without the layout, I didn't have the appetite to continue further tonight, but where would be the right place to begin my investigations in the morning?
Thanks,
Paul
