I'm troubleshooting a Behringing BX3000T and was hoping someone out there has a schematic.
Mine has been flaky when first turned on a couple of times but other than that was working fine until practice last night. It comes on fine, the lights and VU meter are working but no sound out. That's the same as I noticed before when it was acting flaky but usually I got sound after 30 seconds of so, kind of like a tube amp warming up, and it would be fine after that.
I swapped instrument and speaker cables and speaker cabs but still no sound. I plugged the LINE OUT into the RETURN on another amp and got sound, tried the opposite and got nothing. So it looks like the preamp is fine.
We practice in my garage and most of the gear (amps, pedals, PA, etc.), except guitars, stays out there, unheated except when I'm out there. It never gets really COLD in there but it was chilly (probably in the low 50s (F) and it was the first time since I've owned the amp that is has been in the "cold". So I pulled it apart thinking I would begin with a solder reflow based on the history of "slow" starting and figuring if it's a bad solder joint the cold might have worsened it.
I pulled it out of it's cab the other night and was sad to see all the surface mount on the control board.
I figured I needed to pull the power amp/heatsink and decided I didn't want to get into it the other night so just reseated all the internal cable connectors. A couple of them made a nice positive click as they seated. Of course I plugged it back in and it worked fine. So now I'm not sure if it was a connector or if it decided to start working again for no reason.
I pulled the power amp/heatsink combo out last night and saw a combination of surface mount and through hole. I put it back together and it's still working fine but I'm still leaning towards reflowing all the through hole components anyway, but was looking for any other thoughts.
Thanks!
