    Funny, as I was using one of my tubes to test it and sometime on past few months it went bad.
    I probably dropped and forgot about it.

    Anyway, that's why we double check everything.

        drewl, I had a similar experience on a custom order once. The tubes I bought for the amp blew up in short order. Then another pair I bought to replace those suffered a different failure. Then two pair of used, but working tubes I had on hand failed!?! I checked and re checked everything about the amp. What with it being a one off custom build I figured I must have screwed something up but I just couldn't find anything wrong!?! I gave it the thumbs up and installed a pair of Ruby's and never had another problem. Just coincidence that the tubes I bought or had on hand were crappy. Well... Maybe not a coincidence since A LOT of new tubes are crappy
