Steve, just in follow-up to that Carver thread we had going -- I have a copy of the service manual for the Carver amp where it talks about how the "magnetic field" PSU works. the official service manual is much better than the explanation in the advertising catalog that i had sent you earlier. if you're interested in seeing it, PM me with your dropbox info and I'll send it your way.
