  • Bose PS1 wtf?

    What insane person designed this?

Extreme pain to take apart, it looks like the owner took it upon themselves to remove one of the power supply modules which they assume is bad.

I need to call them and found out what they did, and what they did with all the missing screws.

I often tell customers that it costs extra if you've tried to fix it yourself.

They brought it to you for repair full well knowing they F'd it up. Maybe you have some idea what it might take to find or retrofit parts. If you do, bid accordingly. If you don't then don't offer a bid. If you do bid and it's too high then you don't want the job. A very smart man in my industry once told me that the success of my business can depend as much on the jobs I don't take as those I do. Twenty five years and many mistakes later I believe him.

learning to say "No" is a valuable skill in this business.

          You already know

          Send it back.

"The other Tech" already did, that's how it ended up in your shop.
