When it works, it sounds great. Then instantly the volume and bass will drop. I've re-flowed the solder on the control board and replaced C23. To add to the strangeness, One time when it was not putting out much bass, I turned off the amp and measured across the bass control while it was fully CW;, and measured 30k. I pulled the control board and measured it again and got 170 k. I put the board back in and tried the amp. It worked perfect for about 15 seconds, then dropped out almost completely. I guess I'll have to do continuity checks on all the wires connecting the tubes and the connectors. anyone know of bad boards being an issue?
