  • High voltage replacement caps

    anybody have a source for axial caps rated to 550 volts or better??? I can only find 500V rated caps.....and that voltage rating is a bit too low...

      Actually, I just took some voltage measurements across the caps...the caps that are rated for 550V actually have around 430V across them...the 450V ones have a little under 400V and the 350V caps actually have 356V across both of them....so that being said, the 500V rated caps should be good to go..and they are very easy for me to get locally.....thanks foe the link pdf64......I have it saved in the computer....

        Overrated will mean longer life. Startup/surge voltages are higher than quiescent.

          That is why I am going to go with 500V ratings.....as far as the bias caps are concerned, 50/50 , I'll go with 100/100.....
