The schematics call for 470k there, i was lifting the leg of R34 and I broke the the leg, it had 470M in both spots so I put the 470k's in both as the schematic calls for..

I doubt they would have been 470 Meg - that's an insulator! Are you sure you didn't pop 47K in there? With 230V AC in they'd be dissipating about 1 watt and would be glowing.

You are missing the decimal point. 0.470M is 470K. 0.470K is 47K.

Ahh rookie mistake..

Well with the correct 470ohm resistors in, the resistors are NOT getting hot anymore. However the fault light is still on. When I first power it on the fan starts to turn and a loud hum briefly comes from the speakers..I have checked out the resistors that I am seeing in the protect circuit and they all seem to read In spec.

The PF500 is right there on the site Jazz. Not sure if the link here will work but it might if you are signed in to the site already. The thing is that it shows different revisions.

what is T4 and what does it do?

in this version they have JUC31F for T4

they sell a normally closed and normally open version

which one would this be in this amp ?

i have one out of circuit and it tests 0.0 ohm so its closed
