  • Bose Acoustic Wave Radio AWRCC2 Noise

I apologize for posting a non guitar amp issue, if there is a better place to post this please advise.

Our AWRCC2 has started to make an annoying noise. Sounds like crackling that comes and goes, like when you jiggle your guitar amp plug and it is grounding out, that kind of noise.

I have figured out a lot of what it isn't. Speakers are good because it also happens on headphones and on line out to another amp. It is not reception issues because it also happens when sending a signal in from an MP3 player.

This model uses a TDA7376B power amplifier. The noise exists at both the inputs and outputs of this IC. So it must be something before the IC.

Does anyone have any suggestions and/or a schematic for this unit?

    Much appreciated! MC

Several years ago someone gave one to me that was doing that. At that time i just reflowed each solder joint and the noise disappeared.
