      Sorry about the confusion guys. In the original pic I couldn't see any possibility of another wire on there, now in the newer picture I can see the extra black under the purple. Plus the black is a lot more obvious in the picture of the correctly wired replacement switch I posted myself, duh! Thanks drewl for the correct info.

      Steve as you suspect, the new switch design does not require the jumper across any lugs.
