trouble with my sears amp!

its a model 1482 sivertone sears amp


when i turn it on no sound is coming out....the tubes light up but nothing comes out and the speaker is wired up for sure.

after it is on for about 15 seconds it blew the fuse.

i replaced it and it tried to blow it again. the 6x4 tube is flashing and sparking inside after about 10 seconds.


what is going on?

It is a good possibility that tube is bad. I would also do a cap job as those electro's are only about 60 years old. I would also suspect the output tubes are bad and it may have some cold solder joints and bad connections. Clean the pots and tube pins and the sockets and it should be ok.
