I live in a very humid area (SWFL), and I see a lot more failures from oxidized pots and switching jacks, etc than I did when I lived in New England. I use De Oxit D5 to clean pots and jacks, but I wonder if guys are using a second product to seal and protect after cleaning to lengthen the time these parts will work before oxidizing again. I have a little sprayer of De Oxit S5 sealer, but I'm not sure if it is the way to go for pots?

Yes, same product, different name. "NOTE: (Name change in 2006: From CaiLube MCL to DeoxIT FaderLube, part numbers remain the same)".

BTW, I see spraying pots as a measure of last resort to be used when no replacement is available.Experience is something you get, just after you really needed it.
