my 92 tbrsl1 rivera had an issue blowing low voltage fuses i have sorted that and now when i pull the gains or boost the amp hisses really loud i have tried the valves replacement and now I'm at a loss again would anyone have any ideas as to what may be the cause ? when these gains and boost are off it sounds orsome.

Why was the amp blowing fuses?

    There could be a relationship.

dead short in tag tantalum cap replaced both on board and then when i powered it up the jk flip flop on the reverb switching fried replaced that and then the amp sounded great and still does as long as i don't pull the gain 1 or 2 knobs or the boost knob as it then becomes very hissie but maybe thats just the nature of the beast not sure or maybe caps ?

i will try it in the shed and mike it and maybe try and put a gate on it as when it being played u cant really hear the hiss i guess
oh and i replaced the tag tans caps with low leakage as i believe the tag wants are a prob i don't really like them
