  • Speaker impedence switching/wiring

Hi All I have a 2 x 12 cabinet with two 8 ohm speakers in it and I'd like to install a switch to use it at 4 ohms parallel and 16 ohms series. I'm not very good with diagrams/schematics
Could you guys please look at these two diagrams and tell me if they're correct and safe to use?

The first pic shows the terminals on the switch laid out the same as the DPDT switch that I have but I'm not sure if the the short jumper on the bottom two terminals is correct

The the layout of the terminals in the second pic is NOT what I have on my DPDT switch
    Thanks.

They are identical (except for the 'out' connector of the 2nd). Both show the necessary link to complete the circuit when set to 16 ohms.
It's the same as a series/parallel switch for 2 pickup coils.
However, the 1st is sort of cross between schematic (though it doesn't show the switching arms) and wiring diagram. The wiring diagram assume the normal arrangement of DPDT switch terminals.
The 2nd is a pure schematic, rather than wiring diagram.
