    I ran it all weekend and did a couple of loud hour long poundings into its 4*12 at 16ohms. As far as I can tell, everything is fine. It runs much cooler than I would have expected even under duress. The dynamics on this amp are fantastic.

      Sorry--I just saw this. That is really interesting. I was trained to pressurize the stem and flush the body / chamber to minimize pushing the dislodged particulate into the stem. Which would eventually fall back on to the contact area (or the valve seat). I do clearly see your point aboat this though
