  • Mackie 408M EQ pots

Just a shot in the dark here to see if any of you have had to order the 50K EQ slider pots for a Mackie 408M.
So far none of the numbers on the pots have turned up anything.

I have some that are a few mm too short.
So I need to plot all the dimensions and see what I can find.

    Thanks.

Thanks, those listed are different but good idea looking for other Mackie models.

I should be able to find them by measuring and searching manuf. Spec sheets, just thought I'd see if anyone had already done the leg work.

I can always fix them with the ones I have too.

First, the length of a slider is the length of travel of the slider, not how long the body is. STandard lengths are like 30mm, 45mm, 60mm, and others.

Different brands often have different leg footprints.

Why make things difficult? CALL Mackie and ask if they can sell you the parts, or if not, who can? And ASK what part number to ask for so it will be correct. No looking on web sites, no ebay, CALL Mackie direct.

I know you always say that, which is probably the best idea.

I guess in this world of little or no customer service for most things I'm reluctant to do that.

I forget some companies you can actually get service instead of a machine.

The worst that can happen is they say "NO" to you. SO why reluctant. By assuming a company has no customer service and not calling, we just make it a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Well I tried several times today with no luck.

The machine said "they are out for training" if you get this message.

              Will try again tomorrow.

Oh wow, I had forgotten that. Out for training was their blanket for no calls after like 3PM or so. 3PM their time. I used to get that even as a service center. In fairness it gave them time to follow up on all the stuff they had gotten calls on through the day plus emails. Ask the switchboard operator when they turn the phones off.
