Intermittent red channel light blinking and volume loss on 1989 Marshall JCM 800 2205

I just bought a 1989 JCM 800 2205 both of the amp channel are working. However, sometimes i get some intermittent flashing on the red led and sound loss on the clean channel. Is this normal or should i consider changing the CA3046 IC?

These are pictures of the footswitch Jack and the caps wired to it! Will cleaning solve this issue? or are these caps also subject to damage?
