    I got the capacitors. The old ones are replaced and the tubes sockets are resoldered. The amp is OK but it has audible hum from the reverb tank. I had to lift one side of the tank (about 20 degrees) to decrease the hum to acceptable level. The design of the amp is terrible. I mean, the amp is almost OK but it has small design flaws (like e.g. lack of ventilation for EL84, which makes the PC board getting more and more yellow over the time), which finally makes the amp a failure. I advised the owner to get rid of the amp .

      That was glue; seen it plenty of times in C30s.

      But you're right, the design execution on those is horrific. The only way I've found to make them remotely road worthy is to replace all the solid jumpers with stranded wire.
