  • Loose tube base

Question........has anybody run into the problem on tube bases being loose...and if so, do you have any suggestions of what to use to fix it......I take it whatever type of adhesive is used must be able to withstand the high temperatures......

I have always just used whatever superglue I had on the bench at the time. Avoid wiggling/twisting the base too much so that the wires leads between the glass envelope and the base pins are not stressed and possibility broken.

I sell tubes and have been collecting them for more than 25 years. 2-3 drops of Superglue on the glass base joint and wipe the excess off immediately with a cloth. Works every time and can't be detected if done as above.
