  • Traynor YBA-1 to Marshall specs Split cathode ?

While tinkering with my Traynor YBA 1, testing lower value filter caps & replacing the screen resistors ,I've noticed that the cathodes of V1 from pin 3 & 8 go to only separate 1.5k resistors with no cap then on to the input jacks .
& I've noticed that the Marshall Plexi layout use a combination of 330uf/820 from pin 3 of V1 & .68uf/2k7 from pin 8 . then both go to ground
Just wondering what effect this has on tone ? I do want this thing to sound as close to an old marshall as possible .

Wire it just like a plexi. When you jumper both channels you will have the 320uf and the .68 channels both going into the second stage. There is also a .0022uf i think the traynor doesn't use.
