It's possible the bleach just burned up your sense of smell . Just kidding. I've used bleach successfully on organic odors many times. No good for inorganic odors.

I'm interested in R.G.'s ozone generator thingy. Going to have to look that "s" up.

Try Borax - works great on mold - contains Boron so it a neutron moderator as well

Yes...at least I think so. I'm kinda done sniffing stuff for a while, but it just smelled clean / like bleach from 3 feet away. Its got about 3 weeks to air out.

They've banned the stuff in Europe. Amongst almost everything else that works.

          Anyhow,

I've got the worst smelling amp I've ever had - an AC30 that's had a rabbit hutch on top of it for decades. Man, rabbits must piss a lot. Even the chassis plywood board is soaked. The chassis is now removed and the rest taken off out of olfactory range. The sticky corrosion looks a real treat to get off.

Ok, that sounds just f'ing horrible. It's one thing to remove odors from an amp that got a bit grungy and was in proximity to bad smelling stuff for a long time. I expect it's a different thing to deal with a cabinet soaked in bunny piss that's been filtered through their other leavings for who knows how long. I'd probably start with detergent and water and then move to one of those pet store products designed specifically to abate pet odors. Then heat and fan. Repeat as needed.

Who puts a rabbit cage ON TOP of an amp!?! Is it EVER possible to say "Now I've seen it all."? Crazy.

This calls for extraordinary measures. Plywood soaked with sewage? Barbecue that cab, and order up a new one.

Chassis, the best you can do is knock it down to nuts & bolts, scrub every part with any of the recommended solutions, & reassemble. Maybe light up a handful of patchouli and/or egyptian musk incense sticks inside the cab, smoke the assembled amp daily with that until it smells like an old fashioned hippy concert. Better than sewage anyway. I certainly don't envy this job. Charge accordingly.
This isn't the future I signed up for.

Someone must have hated that amp. Be careful. It's probably cursed. Lol. The cab I would say is hopeless. You need to dip the chassis and hardware. If you know someone with a sonic bath cleaner you might be able to save the boards.

One thing that can kill all odors is an ozone generator. Commercial fire damage companies use them. I built one, from a 25000 volt AC power supply for neon signs, and sheet of glass with hardware cloth attached to both sides. AC arcs through the glass causing extra O atom to form somehow, that attaches to any and all odor molecules in the room. If you're near Lake Tahoe, you can borrow mine.

Thanks for the ozone generator offer. I'm about 5500 miles away, though and these days the buses aren't as frequent as they used to be.

                      https://www.clorox.com/products/clorox-urine-remover/

I've never tried it, and don't know if it's available outside the U.S.
But for about $4.50-5.00 a quart (versus $14-15 for Nature's Miracle), it may be worth a shot.

Yeah. It doesn't seem like mine was saturated like that. Seems to have been fairly surface. I'll find out in a couple of weeks. Good luck with the bunny piss!!! That's terrible. I recommend wearing a gas mask...whether or not you burn it

Well that looks just fine. I'll take your word on smell. I imagine for the effort some of your compensation will be 'satisfaction in a job well done'.

I've just had a amp deoderized with Ozmium, only downside is when you spray it it smells like someone smoking Meth on tinfoil. But it's gone in about half an hour

                                I charge $0.38 / hour, so I billed them $1492.00...just kidding. I don't charge anybody for anything.
Yeah, it feels good to fix things. I'm very pleased with how it came out.
Big thank you to everyone for the help, suggestions, and bursts of laughter. You guys are funny. Seriously funny.

BTW: I used pet deodorizer on the carpeted cab, which wasn't anywhere near as gross, and it smells like, well, freshly shampooed carpet.

                                Thanks again everyone!
