Bringing this oldie back to life. The speaker cone is shot. Anyone know what size speaker this is? I measured it and it's 7".

I'll ask the owner if they want to upgrade to something bigger...8 or 10".

Honestly... if it's a collector' piece I would just have the original reckoned. If it's a player I'd pull the old baffle, store it, and put in a new baffle with a 12" Eminence if it fits. That's big cab with a tiny speaker.

Who would you recommend for reconing? I don't do it, too time consuming and too many parts to inventory.

I use John Mueller @ Mueller Speaker in Richland, PA.
Of coarse you would have to ship it.

I am sure there are reconers in CHicago, we have one right here in little Lansing even. Look up "speaker reconers Chicago". And of course there are great reconers all over, and you can ship the speaker to and from and use anyone you like.

This is an old amp. You might want to use a reconer that can regauss the magnet. I would call Weber and see if they can recone and regauss it. Might be a little more expensive, but it would be done right. Reconers are like hatters in the 19th century. The fumes get to them.

I was emailing with Weber about a replacement, they're considering reconing it. I sent some pics, we'll see! I'll make sure they can regauss it as well.
