        How many bad 3007's did you have there? Were they from a reputable seller or an offshore ebay source?

          at least 2. i got a set of 5 from amazon. after i guessed the second one was no good as well i ordered 2 from small bear. that was a HUGE price difference but seeing as i have stupid money in to the amp already i figured why not.

            I wouldn't be surprised if they are knock-offs/fake. Small Bear are verified and you pay extra for that.
            If the chip is mounted in a socket you can check the other ones you got.
            I don't think of amazon if I need a reputable source of obsolete chips.
