another question:
wouldn't it make more sense to buy 4 power supplies and connect them instead of this old PS,
which i know will fail again after and if i'll fix it?
I can get 22v and 45v cheap, my only concern is whether they will introduce some hum and buzz to the pre and power amp stages..

I guess I didn't explain my self correctly,
When tried the 117v, it was hooked to a 220 to 110 transformer 
Nothing blew.
106v. That is not a typo. Have no idea what's going on.
Wouldn't that indicate that the bridge rectifier is bad?

Phew! That's a relief. The voltage across the two caps is 320V so the sum of the two voltage on each one must add to that. I wonder if there is a problem with your meter? Maybe you are not on junction of the two caps?

Putting that to one side 106V should be enough via the 47k to bring the PWM chip up. I am assuming that the chip was replaced - was it?
Have you checked the 47K resistors R518 & R519?
Which resistors looked burned?
Have you tested them?
