g1, when I tested between two amps in both situations it was with a guitar and no scope. I have experimented some bit with the scope connected and not connected and do not think that is the problem.
Oh well no matter, I fixed the three issues it came in for, and spent a lot of my own time trying to find this bugger, ultimately to fail. I explained the situation to the customer, and he was understanding and opted to not spend any more money on it, so he is going to use it as it is on low volumes where the problem doesn't manifest itself.
Win some, lose some I guess.
